It all began in 2019 — back when I lived in another city, away from friends and family. I missed them, missed the laughter, the noise, the chaos. So one day, I thought, why not host a party party?

I was working in Bollywood media then, and Diwali parties were a thing. So, I decided — if Mumbai can have one, Jaipur can too. That’s how the first Diwali party happened. No themes, no dress codes — just everyone showing up in whatever they felt comfortable in. And somehow, it felt perfect.

Since then, it’s become a tradition. Five years later, the excitement still feels the same. Every year, I do everything myself — from the decorations to the tiny details that make the house feel like home. Because everyone who walks in deserves to feel special. They’ve taken time to show up, to celebrate, to unwind.

This year was different, though. My sister, who’s always been my partner in all things Diwali, wasn’t in town. Honestly, I wasn’t sure I wanted to host it at all. But then the calls and messages started pouring in — “When’s the invite coming?” — and I thought, okay, fine… let’s do it.

In just four days, it all came together — the lights, the laughter, the madness. And when I saw everything finally lit up, it felt worth it.
